New Orleans Business Trip

On Monday Dec 27, 2014 we left Colorado on a early snowy day headed to New Orleans for a NAICC meeting (National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants).

This lady was doing hula hoop tricks and routines in the Denver airport, she was very entertaining!

New Orleans airport women's bathroom. WEIRD!!

Our first night, oysters!!!

Ahi Tuna with stuffed crab and shrimp with steamed veggies and Jambalaya. SOOO Good!

Tuesday Jan 28, 2014 we spent the day in meetings and had dinner with some researchers from California. We had some problems finding a place to eat because an ice storm shut down the whole town. The south is not set up for freezing rain, so all the highways and main bridges were shut down. It took us over an hour to get back to where we were staying compared to 10mins. It was scary!
Todd and I played checkers on the ipad between meetings

Coffee Break!

Wednesday Jan 29, 2014- Happy Birthday Bethany!!
We slept in that day and had a wonderful pancake breakfast. Then went on a drive around New Orleans to see the bayou and little bit of Mississippi. We saw so many of these houses, very cool.

A dead Armadillo on the side of the road

We had to go to the beach and touch the Gulf of Mexico even though it was freezing.

After our tour we headed back to our meetings then had dinner on Bourbon street where we enjoyed more oysters and BBQ Shrimp.

A Quick Trip

We took a quick trip to New Mexico then made our way back through southern Colorado and back home. We spent one of the two nights in Pagosa Springs. After dinner Todd and I went to "The Springs" to soak in the hot springs. It was amazing!!! Over 18 hot spring pools ranging from 85 to 114 degrees over looking the river. We had so much fun pool hopping and enjoying the view. I wish I had a picture of how beautiful it was at night but the day pic will have to do.

California Favorites Mastered

Todd has mastered two of our favorite California meals out. They are mouth watering and delicious!
The In N Out Burger with homemade fries

The Fancy burrito ( Chili Verde burrito)

Moose's Ark

Moose spent the night on Thursday. That night Grandma was reading him the bible story of Noah's Ark. Grandma mentioned that she used to have an ark that Todd and Tara played with when they were little. Moose told grandma that he wanted an ark too, so Uncle offered to build him one. At breakfast Moose said " We got to build the ark today!" So all the boys got dressed and went out to build the ark.

This is a picture of Moose enjoying Uncle's favorite strawberry cupcakes!
