Last week in Elk Camp

Todd and I had an amazing last week in elk camp. I almost had a shot opportunity at a cow elk and later that day a nice 6 point bull elk. It was nerve racking but I learned a lot and made memories that will last a life time. We had great weather the whole time except the last day it rained the whole day packing camp out.

All our clothes were drying from the afternoon rain

                                                       Beth's new fashion statement!!
It rained and hailed all the way out of camp. It was a wet three hour mule ride, but a first for me. The best part was my mule could care less that is was hailing and raining, but Todd's mule (who was leading the pack) was not happy about the hail pounding her ears. Lets just say we got home a little quicker.

The Boys Elk Trip

Adam, Pete and Todd had a great nine days hunting elk. When they got home the stories went on for days. Adam shot a beautiful 6 X 6 bull elk from 50 yards with his muzzleloader.
Here are some pictures of their trip

My 2nd Weekend Elk Hunting

My gear

River crossing are always a little tricky for me

Miss September is Amazing!! Todd and I had an unforgettable stock on a bull elk. Todd held Miss September up as we both snuck behind her. The bull elk was so confused!

Another great weekend in elk

1st Weekend in Elk Camp

This year is a very exciting elk season, because I finally got my arm strength up to shoot my bow at a legal poundage. YEAH!! All my working out has paid off. The most exciting part is,  I have the best guide a girl could ever ask for!
Here are some fun pictures of our 1st Elk Hunt Adventure.
Todd put face paint on us as we were stocking  2 cow elk and a calf at 25 yards
That was so amazing, I almost had a shot

The second day it rained and hailed most of the morning.

We kicked back and drank lots of hot chocolate and coffee
