Yellowstone Trip

After years of discussing a trip to Yellowstone we finally made it happen. We spent six day and five nights enjoying all that Yellowstone has to offer. We drove over 1900 miles through all five entrances.  It was an amazing trip.
Yellowstone Lake- Todd had to go for a swim before enjoying our picnic lunch.

Us and the little one on the way

Old Faithful Lodge

                                                                      The Grand Tetons

Todd was getting bribes to come back down and help others up the mountain. Maxine told them that she had booked him for the full day.

Swimming at the Firehole. The water was just as warm as the outside temp we guessed at least 75 degrees
.

We visited Jeff's Aunt Lorene and family in Emigrant, MT

We kept track of all the animals we saw. We almost saw them all!

The map of our trip

A couple of mountain goats with a kid.  We also saw this grizzly bear at 50 yards!

A pack of wolves and a big bull elk and one of his cows.

Pete's Elk Hunt

This year Todd and I did not draw any hunting tags. Todd and Adam went with Pete on his elk hunt. Pete had a very successful hunt.

Packing in Adam wanted to walk for the last mile or so to stretch his legs so Todd jumped on Taylor for the last bit into camp!

Todd napping on old bed springs they found at an old cabin.

Inside look at an old cabin.  It was a great place to get out of an afternoon thunderstorm.
