Easter 2014

We had a relaxing Easter day. We ate lunch, hunted for easter baskets and eggs, went to church, ate again and played.

Dying Easter Eggs

Dying Easter Eggs was so much fun this year. Levi and Moose truly enjoyed it as much as the adults did. Levi spent the whole time tasting the yellow egg dye while Grandma tried to keep it off his clothes and out of his mouth. Lets just say, we did not get many yellow colored eggs. Moose, on the the other hand, was a pro at dying eggs.  We ended the evening with a yummy steak dinner.

Estes Park Getaway

Todd and I went on a little relaxing getaway before our planting season begins. We headed to Estes Park to our favorite little cabin for three nights. We did our best to not do anything, but eat good food, sleep, soak in the spa, and read in front of the fire. It was a blast!!
Dinner at Stanley Hotel

We saw a lot of wildlife on our trip. Here are some bighorn sheep.

Todd made Cioppino one night for dinner, it was bomb!

We had our fire so hot that we had all the windows in the cabin open.

This is taken from our cabin. We also saw elk and turkeys outside the cabin.  Estes Park never disappoints!

Visit from Adam

Adam came for a quick work visit. Todd and Adam spent their evenings together fishing, eating (Chicken Fried Steak and Rodizio's) and staying up way too late giggling like two little girls at a slumber party.

These pictures were taken by Jeff delivering waders to the boys, because they no longer wanted to shore fish.

Lake Shore Fishing

The weather has been warm enough to thaw the near by lakes, so Jeff and Todd went fishing

Sunday night for about three hours.  Todd caught 4 trout and Jeff was skunked (caught none). Todd caught enough fish to give him the fishing bug and Jeff was determined to catch something.

So, Monday night the boys went fishing again for three hours. This time they took their fly rods hoping to catch the fish feeding on a topwater hatch.  Todd caught one and Jeff was skunked again. I received this photo from Jeff stating "Fishing Sucks, lol!" They were so bummed because in those two nights they could see the fish feeding on the top of the water but they were not biting.
Fishing Sucks!!

Tuesday night Todd and I went to the lake with our fishing poles and boy did we have fun! Almost every cast we caught a fish. We caught over 17 fish in the two hours. We probably would have caught more but I caught the trees and bushes too!

The next day Jeff and Todd went again and finally hammered em!  They caught so many that they didn't even have time for a picture!

Double Date on Date Night

Tara, Branden, Todd and I went on a double date to Date Night an event at our church. A fun event full of appetizers, chocolate tasting, photo booth, Newly We'd Game ( Tara and Branden Won!), a marriage sermon and child care so the couples could then go out on the town. We had a great time, the four of us went to "Fuzzy Tacos" a new fresh mex restaurant and then finished the night off at "Cold Stone" for ice cream. The funny thing is that it was snowing and really cold but we still thought ice cream sounded good. We had a great night fun!
