Double Date on Date Night

Tara, Branden, Todd and I went on a double date to Date Night an event at our church. A fun event full of appetizers, chocolate tasting, photo booth, Newly We'd Game ( Tara and Branden Won!), a marriage sermon and child care so the couples could then go out on the town. We had a great time, the four of us went to "Fuzzy Tacos" a new fresh mex restaurant and then finished the night off at "Cold Stone" for ice cream. The funny thing is that it was snowing and really cold but we still thought ice cream sounded good. We had a great night fun! 

Family Dinner turns into Family Workout

On Thursday night we had a California style feast for our family dinner. Tri tip, cheeses potato casserole, asparagus, Santa Maria beans, garlic bread and brownies. It was amazing!  During dinner Tara told us about this fitness app on her phone and how she could track her calories, weight and exercise. So we all downloaded the app and entered in what we ate that day. We all sat there laughing looking at our empty plates realizing that we had all eaten way too many calories. About 9:30 we put on warm clothes and went for a brisk 3 mile walk. When we got home Todd, Tara and Branden were still in the red,  so they headed down to the basement for another workout.

About 11:30 all adults' calories were in the green, so we could all go home to bed. Moose and Levi were troopers and shared in all the laughs of their crazy family.

Drive through Big Thompson Canyon to Estes Park 2013 Flood Damage

On Feb 13, 2014 Todd and I went through the Thompson Canyon up to Estes Park. We had not been up there since the flood in September, due to the roads washing out. Temporary roads were put in place in November and as you can see the work is endless. Here are the sights we saw driving up the canyon.

Dinner with the Boys at Rodizio Grill

Jeff, Branden, Todd and I went to celebrate a late Birthday dinner at Rodizio Grill! Meat, Meat and more Meat!!  A man's paradise.

Morning Elk Drive

We went on a morning cruise and we saw approx 300 elk probably only 5 miles from the house. It has been so cold and has snowed enough to push the elk down out of the mountains. It's kind of weird seeing elk under a pivot on a wheat field.
