Wednesday Night Lake Walk

If you have not already guessed it, Todd and I got caught in another adventure. We enjoyed a great shrimp burrito dinner, put some bug spray on and went for a walk around the lake. Half way around the lake a storm blew in. We enjoy lighting, thunder, rain and hail. We were sopping wet. What a waste of bug spray! lol The rain was coming down so hard from the roof it started to flood our garage. Todd used a broom for about 10min to push the water out of the garage. What a mess!! But we were real excited, we got almost 1/2 an inch in about 20min.

Baby Robins

Todd and I have been nest watching 4 little robin eggs.

Tonight when I came home from work this is what I saw.

Lake Powell- The TRUE Adventures of Todd, Beth and Adam

When you think about a vacation at Lake Powell, you imagine water, boats, rest and good food. There is no mention of break downs, possible drownings, animals robbing your food stash (A crow ate all our bread) or being sand blasted 24/7 from the wind.

We broke down at 4am and had to walk about a mile to get phone service for a tow truck. They towed us back to Moab, UT. We spent 7 hours fixing the truck.

We finally made it to the Lake and this is the first catch of the trip. IT'S SOO BIG!!!

The boys had planned on catching fish on this trip..... LOTS OF FISH. They special ordered 100lbs of bait into Denver Airport for this very trip. Well... we caught a total of 8 fish, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

This only lasted about 15 min, then the waves started to come in and I went from relaxation to fear that my boat would sink or pop.

Check out the great sites

Two unhappy boys when the trolling motor stopped working, but we got it going.

The boys pushing a rock down the cliff. Watch out our boat is down there!!!

This is how Adam fell in the hole. .... OK not really!! Adam thought it would be cool to slide into the hole and climb out. Check out his success in the video at the bottom of the page.

Adam digging his way out of the hole

To finish out the crazy trip we treated ourselves with a 1/2 gal of Rocky Road ice-cream.

Almost gone!

This is a perfect example of how we ended the trip, on a sugar high, dirty (Sand everywhere) and extremely tired with memories that will last a life time. Thanks to the Adventures of Todd, Beth and Adam.
